Christmas Eve, once again, saw a huge crowd, gathering on the Bournville Green to welcome the imminent arrival of Christmas.
Carols on the Green is, of course, a magical Bournville tradition stretching back over 60 years.
Organised by the local group of Christian churches, the service is always wonderfully led by Canon Peter Babington, the vicar of the Bournville Parish Church.
The bucket collection taken after the service is organised and manned by members of the Bournville Village Council. This year, Bournville folk were particularly generous with the collection raising the grand sum of £4,996..
This fabulously generous collection will be distributed amongst local charities over the next few weeks.
